Did you know that you can become a delegate to the Massachusetts Democratic Party 2019 Convention if you are a preregistered/registered Democrat and at least 16 years old by May 11, 2019? Thanks to the efforts of several members of the High School Democrats of Massachusetts and our adult supporters within the party, the age requirement to become a delegate was recently lowered.

When: Saturday, September 14, 2019

Where: The Convention will be held at the MassMutual Center at 1277 Main St, Springfield, MA 01103

How: Run as a delegate at your local caucus!

  1. Find out when your caucus is, and show up.

  2. Present proof of pre-registration or registration at the sign in table. You can view your registration status on the Secretary of State’s website, and present this as proof. Voter registration/pre registration form will be available to fill out on-site as well.

  3. Caucus attendees will vote for a predetermined amount of delegates to represent their town at the convention. View the delegate allocation numbers here.

*If you are interested in or planning on running as a delegate, please fill out this interest form. Filling out this form will help us begin the process of organizing our push to have as many MAHSD members and high schoolers run to become a delegate as possible, and it will put you in contact with high school delegates from across the state.
